Crop, sharpen, curves, saturation, channelmixer, brightness contrast.
Met this young bull moose in the woods Sunday.
He watched me for a long time. I have plenty of pictures of him where he is in focus... but I took this one of him peeking at me from behind the tree, staring at me, out of focus (he saw me long before I saw him), this captures the whole feel of coming across an animal this size out in the wilderness...
I have had my scores off for ages now. Having way more fun doing this for me and not pimping for the update button. :)
****post challenge****
So, not the brown, but close. Amazing how stepping out of the box will throw you to the back of the pack. LOL In anycase, I still really like what the photo conveys - even if the voting herd did not. For anyone who is interested - here is an "in focus" shot of the same moose -

Would of worked better if your focus had of been on the animal! |

Such a wonderful opportunity! It's too bad you weren't able to get the moose in focus. Would have been perfect for this challenge. :( |

A shame the camera focussed on the tree and not the animal |

Sadly the focus is one the tree not the animal and the branch is across one of its eyes. This would have been a good picture otherwise. |

Your subject is in the background, but your frame is the only thing in focus. it should be reversed. |

The foreground is in focus but the subject is not |

I DON'T SEE A FRAME IN THE FOREGROUND. |

The shallow DOF loses the detail in the animal and detracts from this picture. |

I would rather the focus be on the moose (?) than on the leaves in the foreground. |

Subject should have been in focus. My opinion. |

I'd like it better if the focus were on the moose, rather than the frame. |
