It was starting to get dark and I had only one decent shot to take back home. Another 15 minutes – and no luck, I placed the camera on self-timer and ran to the location. These 2 shots would work but I was not happy; I had the perfect picture in mind, and I was forced to return without one after waiting 40 minutes.

As I walked back through the trails I passed a couple, a nod and smile as we continued walking in opposite directions. After about 10 steps I turned around, followed them. They turned into the corner - they might have noticed me, following, but they continued – I wanted them to continue and not notice me. I was 5 yards behind them - perfect – just the perfect distance…I turned into the corner, pointed the camera and took 15 shots in less than 30 sec – turned around and walked back to the car…. Shot was much closer to what I imagined it to be :)

Moments are created ...a photographer strives to capture them ..

taken few months back at the same location, both shots are candid.

I gave this photo a high score during voting, but never made a comment. I really like this picture. I love the way the colour blooms as it approaches the subjects. It's a great use of framing. This would be an awesome set up for a wedding portfolio (bride and groom walking down the path). Has a really romantic feel. In fact, you probably could have added impact to the current photo if the pair had been holding hands. (Not sure if they were your models or not though).

Excellent image. Well done. Interesting subject. Nice leading lines with the walking path. Great use of the foliage for your framing. Congrats on a fine capture! Good luck in the challenge.

6 - Nice. Difficult, but the dof even closer as well, may have made this even better, but would likely have diminished the illusion of the framing at the bottom. Not sure, but perhaps a more finely tuned crop at the top, making a more horizontal framing. More at the bottom (even if oof), possibly as well. Selective desat may have given this extra as well, who knows - nice scene/candid as is, in my opinion. +m in your title.

i like the title so much it reminds me of a short story called a "long walk to forever" by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. - I really like the shades of green but would have liked not to have the red, good use of the environment and the thirds.
