Honestly, Kita, I loved this one precisely because he wasn't smiling. I think this picture is much better than the score it received. |

2 - Whilst you have somewhat 'cheated' and also gone against the spirit of the Challenge by 'just using a frame/matt' - as a portrait this is not bad, however trying to get more 'expression' on Poppy's face, may have made this more special, as well as a more finely tuned crop, especially at the bottom. Overall, likely what you were aiming for, however doesn't really meet the Challenge strongly enough, in my opinion. |

The backround shouldve been ironed, and i think that a high key backround wouldve been better also because of the contrast between it and the frame. |

HEE HEE - love the idea of this. The composition is good. Now, I think I'd have him take off the plaid shirt and ring. Both are distracting and don't add to the shot. The background color is kind of iffy for me too. If you did it in black and white, it might neutralize that and give it a bit more punch. His expression is priceless. ;~D |

He seems thrilled to be in the picture - if there were numbers on the frame, I'd imagine it was a mugshot :-) |
