I took a bit of a risk with this picture, but gun collecting used to be a hobby of mine, one I gave up when my son was born. I've had this gun since 1985, and was the ONLY thing I salvaged from my divorce! My dad now owns it, and keeps it locked safely away in a gun cabinet.

very grey. could use some contrast to bring in some blacks. the cropping is a bit strange. perhaps include more of the gun...

this need more contrast and less bright

I get the idea, but the partial de-saturation doesn't work for me, it makes the wood grip look blotchy

=`) I'm with you on this one! It does look a little on the bright side. Overexposed or post process? Good interpretation of category.

Looks as though it was shot in smoky atmosphere. Did you use a soft focus...I would have preferred harsh lighting for this subject and more exagerated B&W

Red Alert !!!

Stupid title in my opinion. You are more likely to accidentally shoot a member of your family than to defend it. But I guess this is not the place for this discussion.

This works really well. I like the gold/brown colors on the butt of the gun. You certainly have an eye. Great shot. (pun intended)

Shiny!

could have been better without the washed out look

Scary! You've done a great job lighting and capturing the steely feel of all this stuff! Nice job. Great composition, too.

This one makes a statement. Quite controversial. It will be interesting reading the comments later. I think a little more contrast might have worked better but its a great shot.
