Greetings from the critique Club
Nice InfraRed photograph
It seems that you intentionally chose a long exposure, which caused the leaves to go blurry because of the wind. It went a touch too long, as the rightmost tree steals viewer attention from the subject, which appears just a touch too small in the photograph.

Nice photo, Judi! Must have been windy, and I think that the blurred branches killed at least a point here. I really like how you preserved the blue sky in this IR shot.
Looking forward to seeing more from you!

I would like this better if the car was just a little more prevalent in the image |

Strange blurring effect...unclear whether shallow DOF or motion blur. Nevertheless, one of my top picks. |

Nice use of the infared effect the trees however seem to take the focus away from the car.. 7 |

I think the infared on this shot doesn't work quite as well, even though it is still an impressive photograph, the infared usually give me a feeling of fantasy surrealism that doesn't make me feel like I am in a desolate place. And the car looks too pretty to have been abandoned for long. But still an impressive photo, but for me not quite right in this challenge. |

Too rich in textures and colour to be anything like desolate. Maybe a bit poisonous looking though. |

Very good colors. Infrared colors are always good. I think the subject could be a little near the camera. It's a little hard to find it. |

There seems to be some odd blurring in the trees - some leaves are in sharp focus, the others soft. And the composition is a little unbalanced. Still, I like the tones. |

wowser. when i saw the thumbnail, i thought "here we go, another GORGEOUS ir image, but there's no way something of such beauty could convey any sense of desolation". got that wrong. this is incredible. the sense of scale, the colours... i love how some of the trees look slightly out of focus - was that intentional? i love where the car is (what is it, a cortina or granada). must buy myself an IR lens - this is so inspiring! |
