I went to my local cemetary with the intent of shooting a dead rose on a tombstone, with the headstones in the background out of focus, but I found this old bottle with dead flowers already resting on a stone, and decided to use that instead. In editing I adjusted the levels to bring the jar and flowers into sharper contrast with the background and I adjusted the coloring slightly to give the overall picture a duller and browner tone.

Nice idea and composition. Would be better if there was a little more color contrast. Also a larger image would be helpful!

Well done bokeh, definately enhaces the scene.

Ahh yes...I have worked it out. Maybe a bit more of the dead flowers would help here.

If not for the pixelation around the hanging strands, this would have scored VERY high...

Lacks interest, re composition and subject matter...

wow, this is a great ideal I like the way you think, loved the composition here too. Yeah, it feels sad... forgotten indeed. I wish the photo could be in larger size. Bet it would make a much bigger impact. Among the photos I scored so far, this is one of the bests that really used the background to enhance the subject. Good luck!

This could have been in desolation. I like the imagery, and I think I can see some bokeh in the background by the trees?

The tilt kind of throws the image off....

I think this would be much more impactful if you utilized the maximum 640 pixelation allowed. I wish that there were at least one semblance of a flower still in the vase- maybe you could've put it there for a bit of punch.
