Lovely photo. This is an awesome capture but its hard to associate it with challenge theme. Maybe thats why it did not scored that well. I did not voted for this challenge but would have given 6. But if this one is not linked to challenge theme, I'd have given it nothing less than 9. The beautiful model and peaceful look does not really compliment desolation. Beautiful eyes and lighting.

This is a beautiful portrait... looks like it was taken at sunset... she has such fair skin and pretty eyes. You did a great job on this. :)

I really don't think this suits the challenge in any way.....

This is a beautiful photo. Without the title, though, it's hard to tell that she's desolate. It looks more like she's just relaxing, pondering life. There's no real feeling of sadness to it.

Simply a beautiful portrait, but not sure about the desolation?? On second look...there is just so much the I like about this picture...the lighting. the eyes, the way the hair is falling back. Granted she still doesn't really look desolated,,,,but...bumping score up to 8 (at least I can see a connection to the challenge and it is just too good of an image to leave at a 5)

Vulnerable, delicate and attractive is what comes to mind first. Possibly a desolate thought running through her mind.

I am not convinced. Your title says one thing, and your image says another.

great comp, good light, great color, nice movement, a bit soft in the eyes, ncie texture

Nice image, but doesn't say desolation to me. Still interesting though.
