 Took this at the old bunkers at Ft. Monroe. Built in the early 1800's, totally surrounded by water and an awesome moat. This is where the captured soldiers were held.

An excellent shot which really captures the theme of desolation. think this photo should have placed much higher - a pretty landscape is not desolation - this is!

Nice title which implies a bigger story - as does the image. It bespeaks the sense of desolation that many people think about when they hear the word.
