I came back to look at this one again. It was one of my favourites in the challenge - gave it a 9. Had I known it was by a fellow South African, I might have given it that extra notch and made it a 10 ;-)

Cool feeling here. The slightly tipsy subject is subtle ... the birds bring hope .... overall more beautiful than desolate but still a 7.
