 I had hoped to get more of the fingers come through but this is how is was after actually typing for 30 seconds. Lighting was from the monitor which also made the colours look strange so B&W it became!

Editing Steps:
- rotate to bring level
- crop (I had to crop it this close as you start to see the desk when you go outside the keyboard and that was distracting. I also feel this brings the view onto the hands more anyway)
- desaturate to make black and white
- USM

Post Challenge:
It's ok to fake it. I was trying for a certain look in this and it didn't really come off. I didn't think of the obvious (as others noted I should do) and not have the hands typing the whole time! duh!

A few thoughts:
1) The tight crop is tough. I see why you did it, but it may have been the lesser of two evils. It doesn't help, it just may hurt less.
2) The idea is neat, but in the end you may have done about as much with it as you could. If you wanted more fingers, you should have tried typing S-L-O-W-E-R. :)
3) The conversion to B&W is decent.

Great idea, but what would have made it stand out more was to see more definition in the hands. I would have kept still for about 15 seconds then started typing...This way the photo would have shown the hands more and get the movement for the last 15 seconds.

cool effect. wish you had glued some of the keys down to spell something like "die". not that would make sense for 30 secs of typing or would be worth destroying a keyboard for no one to notice.

Really cool concept and execution for this shot. I love the greyscale. It also captures a realm of 21st century life in relationship, sitting at a keyboard sending messages to people we love.

I like the idea that you have here, however I feel like I am expecting to see finger movement as if your touch typing, this effect looks more like ghost hands unfortunately. -5 Good effort, I also think black and white was a good choice :)
