I gave this a 9 - I LOVE this guy - marvelous find! I think the bokeh worked just fine for the shot, too. Truly a very fascinating bug! |

Great shot. Love the detail and colours in the bug. You were up against some good competition but I thought you shoud have ended up a bit higher than you were. |

The bokeh is nice. I just dont know if you should have converted the colors to this level. I think keeping natural would have made this look just awesome. |

Awesome capture. Has to be the strangest 'hopper' I've ever seen. This should do VERY well... crisp shot, nice detail, good bokeh. :O) |

You've found an interesting subject but it's too busy overall. A shallower DoF to distance the subject and cause more of a blur in the bokeh may work better. |

Wow...are those the real colors of that bug? It looks like a critter out of a Pixar animation? Cool!! |

Good looking guy. The oof area isn't very well defined and does not add to the picture, in fact it is bit too busy for my liking. Nice composition though. A slightly above average entry. |

I already voted, now back for comments. I gave you a 10 on this shot. Lovely colors, crisp detail, excellent subject and bokeh. The expression (if you want to call it that) on his face is priceless. |

It is a Dr. Suess grassamahopper from the town of leafnflopper. Where did you find a purple leaf, and a yellow and blue grasshopper? And have you had that place checked for radiation? |

I've never seen a grasshopper that colour before. The background bokeh seems leasing enough. Focus is very good. I wonder if the hue has been switched? 8. |
