Taken from a friends lakehouse window during a thunderstorm on Possum Kingdom Lake. Don\'t ask what the speckled red stuff is cuase i dont know, im assuming its just the way it was processed in my camera since a long exposure would not capture any dust in the air, especially since no flash was used. Anyway, set my camera to 30 seconds, let it decide my F stop, set focus to infinity and kept clicking. Tried to time with the thunder but due to the amount of clouds, very few of the bolts would shine through, this is one of the very few. First attempt at lightening shots, and im sure its not supposed to be done through a window, but im just not that brave... and my equipment is not yet waterproof.

Beautiful shot. Creative capture showing the docked boats here. Nice work.

Great capture. Something about seeing lighting that just makes the hair on my arms stand.

Very moody, I wish I could have seen more of the green foreground and less of the top portion of the sky, I think that would have improved this shot but I like it too as it is.

The colors aren't working for me. Great capture, but the greens gotta go.

I think you've gone too wide here, so there is more attention on the buildings (boat yards? at first I thought they were cars being stripped!) and less on the lightning, with the landscape becoming black and featureless. I'd suggest zooming in further, and allowing the landscape to be exposured a little more strongly to add some feature.

Nice green/purple thing... I might have sliced the buildings right out and cropped just to include the rock face... I probably would have lopped off the top and left fifths as well...

Not that this would have made it better, just one person's opine.

I find the green a little off settling but the capture of the lighting is decent, I've of tried to get close to the lake and had lake in the foreground and lighting in the background.
