 ...freaky cubist bokeh...


To answer the questions on how this was done...I don't know, it just happened. I think it was just a group of circumstances came together at the right moment...lens, light, surrounding plants and this is what happened...no filters were used on camera at all...I probably coundn't duplicate this if I tried.

Well you were definately right, that is some pretty cool bokeh you have there! Awesome photo Rachel! I don't get those comments about the bottom, it's part of what makes this photo and it's perfectly balanced the way it is now.

Great, dynamic (and unusual) background really lifts the subject. The crop could perhaps have been tighter at the bottom to give a more balanced image? A great picture all the same.

This is a good shot, the bokeh is a bit harsh in the transitions. It still works well.

not to crazy about the flower itself, but the way the background blends together is awesome. Reminds me of a watercolor painting. The teal highlights on the flowers leaves is great. 8

I don't know how you achieved this appearance in basic editing, but it's very effective. The bokeh is almost like stained glass - very cool. Beautiful image.
