 My two challenge entries this week are both self-portraits. We'll see how well they do, maybe I will have to go on the other side of the camera more often.

Yes, I know it's blown out, I tried not too, but I just can't help myself. I will just become so good here and everyone will know me as the "Blown Out Guy". I like it, not expecting that high of a score, but I don't really care.

I left this interpretation open to meaning, which means that I will probably recieve a few DNMC.

First off, I think this is a great picture. Very nice colors and nice sky. A bit blown out sky but not really bad IMO. I'm having a hard time understand the title with the picture which I'm sure you lost some points with the voters there.

Your focus is good and detail is great! Lamp post is a bit bothering. I'm sure if it was advance editing you would have removed it.

Keep up the good work. Your scores will improve!

What I like: Great silhouette picture. I like the detail and color in the sky - good DOF.

What I didn't like: I guess I could say the street lamp... It's pretty hard to pick anything specifically. I feel like you were trying to express just a little bit more in the image than I'm getting from it, and that's probably my fault.

I'm not really sure where you are trying to go with your message in this image. The silhouette works ok here - the post being sat on is a little distracting as are the lamp posts. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

I'm not sure about what superstition you're actually talking about.. but this is a nice picture.. The contrast is high and it took away most of the details, especially in the person.

hmmm, that streetlight doesn't help, but whatcha gonna do? it really is an eyesore though. The sillouetting of the subject is tough with this pose. It makes it hard to know exactly what's going on.

Don't know this one. But the lamp post is very distracting, and there is no pie I see. But other than the lamp posts I see two, its a very nice image. Nice silhouete.

I'm not sure what superstition or urban legend this refers to but it is a beautiful photo. there are a few white spots in the black area that are distracting and one dark spot in the light area of sky but obviously with basic there wasnt much you could do about that. 8
