Nice retro feel to this one! Perhaps it would be better centered, square cropped?

A nice sense of rotational blur. And very evocative of a sense of a worn out piece of equipment from a bygone era, helped by the choice of monochrome.

But the compoition needs a little more. I've no idea what, but it needs a little more.

Nice and simple. This works.

the straight-on angle of the fan plus the pitch black background makes the off-center composition ineffective, i.e. it has no effect except to be off center. But a great picture of a fan.

Good lighting and interesting subject, I think center would have worked this time but it's not bad on the side either. It might have been more interesting with a person on the side with her hair blowing or something.

Vintage fan on a hot summer day...excellent shot...love the tone and clarity.

Nice tones, but the dense grill is hiding much of the movement, imho. Removing it would probably rob the picture of all its 'worn' quality, so there's a bit of a dillema. Possibly - come closer?

A summer image. Keeping cool on this side of the screen. ;-)

I just adore this. Makes me think of the days when people didn't have air conditioning. It's tack sharp, with perfect placement. It might not have the POW that some of the color shots do, but I really like it alot. It would make a great piece of art on a wall with a wide mat and simple black frame in an office, or contemporary setting. Way to go. (I can almost hear it purring away).

The blur is almost not visible. This example is therefore not good to demonstrate Motion Blur.
