Editing: Crop, adjustment levels for levels & curves; shadow highlight tool - adjust midtone contrast; exposure tool - exposure & offset; use magic wand & lasso to select area to dancer's left - apply slight amount of gaussian blur; resize, smart sharpen, sharpen tool on bra area.

Even though I know this photo probably won't score that well, I really like it so decided to enter it. To me, it is exactly what motion blur should do in a photo.

We were waiting on a table outside of our favorite restaurant in Salida when this troupe of belly dancers wandered by with a bongo drum player who was playing for them. There were lots of people around so it was hard to get a good shot but I was pleased with the motion blur on this one as the dancer was shaking her behind. I wish I could have had them stop and pose for me. They were very colorful.

LOL!

Nicely done. Maybe could've done with being slightly less tightly cropped, to capture more of the motion happening just out of shot on the right. And I am left with the impression that I'm looking at a one-armed booty shaker!

Gotta shake more, methinks. This way it's just sort of sloppy, not really indicative of all the fun the girl is having.

the blur tells the story, that's for sure. I wonder if you could crop the top third of this vertically and have a stronger photo. Just a thought -

Hey this meets the challenge and is unique! However, it feels to much like a quick photograph. If this was a dancer performing with an audience I would have loved to see a more artistic crop and maybe more of a story behind it. Say include part of the audience while still trying to keep the focus on the motion?
