Uncropped and edited only for slight brightness boost and resized for web. This is from my New Mexico Skies trip, and astronomy junket that was nearly totally spoiled by clouds. This was our last night there, and the best skies (for a total of 2 hours out of three nights!). The glow at the bottom right is from local low clouds and most likely the reflection of "local" home lights (within 4 hundred yards or so). If the skies were totally transparent and cloudless, it would have been utterly dark right down to the horizon.

Hoo, that's dark! 4 minutes and only a little glow on the horizon... looks like a little reflection off thin clouds so maybe could have been even better... wow! That's dark. Let's see more!
