Challenge: Glass II (with a twist) (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Sony DSC-W1
Location: On the road, near the accident
Date: Jun 26, 2006
Galleries: Emotive, Persuasive
Date Uploaded: Jun 27, 2006

This photograph symbolizes the car accident my friend and I were involved with on June 24, 2006 at 12:20 pm. She lost control of the car and it resulted in a high-impact crash. Thankfully, both of us are okay, due to the use of our seatbelts. The glass is actual glass from the passenger window-I was sitting in the passenger seat. The message is simple-"Buckle Up," and please do if you care.

Interesting way to meet the challenge and send a message at the same time.

good concept.

Great concept...really like the message you are portraying with this shot.

Good message. If your intent was to depict an arm after an accident, I would think it would be more effective to have the hand in a more relaxed position to give a feeling of unconsciousness and no muscle control.

auwtsj. I like the idea, but the light isn't very nice (harsh from above), and composition could be better.

Excellent idea and message; a bit below average in execution. Fingers need to be in the frame - they're cut off at an awkward place. While it's clear it's "glass" on the hand/arm, on the black background it just looks like pavement.

Ummmmm....It's very creative.

great concept. i think fake blood would have been more effective than lipstick. but good job otherwise.

sick yet funny

Good message. I don't really care for the writing on the arm. Maybe write it out with the glass or in dirt? I'd like to see the ends of the fingers too.

clever, I like that.

Nice idea, I would have gone for even gorier, gotten some fake blood and just really splashed it all over, I assume that´s lipstick but whatever it is, doesn´t look like real blood. Like I said, like your thinking with this, just think you should have gone "to the max" and really made a mess. Also one minor detail, this is just nitpicking but the hand should be totally relaxed and fingers spread to give off the illusion of death or subconciousness.

Nice idea.

Good message, but image out of focus...

Sad topic, creative composition.
