 I tried to get the feeling of a letter left unfinished but the reason open to interpretation.. maybe she didn't finish because she was sick, had died, simply lost track of time and hadn't returned to the task. We'll see if I portrayed that very well or not. I also am not sure if people will be able to read enough of the writing to get the background "story" with the image.

Think about your "story." What were you trying to convey here? The pages look filled, so the title doesn't resonate with me. And I don't seem to find a particular subject.

Finally, on the technical side, the contrast needs to be higher.

the cloth underneath the paper and piece of vase is somewhat distracting.

I like the placement of the pencil and the stationery. The image would have been stronger without the vase and with a table cloth with less texture.

Cannot read the writing, so the title doesn't quite make sense. Well composed, I just wish the writing was darker.

Pretty stationary. Are those water droplets on the paper. The letter is to a sister so I am assuming they are meant to be tears.

The tip of the pencil should have been more in focus...and I find the glass in the corner distracting
