Ah yes, the hands. I recently witnessed my son graduate from the Marine Corp and the first thing I noticed was how he held his hands. I love the discipline of the armed forces. They make the rest of us look schleppy. Whats neat is they learn to stand like that for a very long time ,motionless. We also got to see training at the rifle range and our bus drove by and atleast 80 young men were standing motionless with rifles up, aimed and ready. My son said he was amazed at how their physical and emotional limits were pushed way beyond what he previously thought was possible. Since bootcamp, he said everything seems easy in life. I guess if you can survive that training the rest of life is a breeze. It's been so nice seeing the changes in my son since he enlisted, and he loves being a Marine.

Heck, I wish I could have been a Marine. :)

Oops I ranted there a bit. Just wanted to say I enjoyed your entry. Really hit me when I pulled it up. Good job to capture it.

Nicely done pic with a great title! Good security, too - no heads and in the "old" BDUs...

I like this a lot. I wonder about maybe making it full figure, though.

Your crew-cut crop is a bit too uncomfortable for my liking.
Good luck to you anyway.
And feel free to pass on my wishes of good luck to the force members you pictured.
We're praying for them.

Wow! This is awesome. There's something so noble about the military stance. This one is shot perfectly. Perfect sharpness. Perfect colors. Perfect angle. One of the best in this challenge!

Wonderful shot. As a veteran I love to see the military portrayed this way. You did a wonderful job and shot a wonderfully relevant picture to the challenge. 9
