 One brightly colored "Day Lily" in yellow & red. Over 100 photos and finally I have what I saw looking for re an image to submit for the "flower" challenge. It was hard, as I also did a flower for the recent "Bokeh" challenge, which did really well with. I had to look for something differant this time round, and I hope you like the result that I have here. Taken with my Canos camera and new macro lens in the "Raw" format, and processed in PS.

Good idea, although I think in this case the shallow DOF works against you, as it draws way too much attention to the one petal in front. The image looks quite a bit oversharpened. I also wonder, the title, "Softly Softly", the image doesn't really look soft, looks strong instead. The background is beautiful.
