 My first member challenge...spotted this little hunter dangling in front of a passion flower in the garden. Shot in RAW, increased contrast, touch of dodge n burn on the spider, sharpened, cropped.

oh well....I took a risk, it didn't pay off! I still quite like it, challenge aside.

ok so it is obvious that the flowers aren't in focus..now I just wish people would get the obvious out of the way and start looking at what you are seeing..inviting us into the world of flowers...letting us observe the world from their point of view, a life of beauty surrounded by life and death struggles..
There is a reason I don't let scores affect me...scores don't stop and consider, contemplate, pause.

Beautiful! The out of focus flower just glows. Love the placement of the spider. It could be argued that the challenge was flowers but the main subject (or subject in focus) is the spider. And then, it could be argued that main subject doesn't always need to be in focus :) I hope you do well in the challenge! (9)

Having the flower be completely out of focus makes this not quite meet the challenge to me. It's a photo of a spider, not a flower.

I appreciate the photo of the spider and fly and in any other challenge I'd give high scores, but since this is FLOWERS challenge, I can only give you a 5. Just being honest.
