 Okay, I've always wanted to try this shot. I know it's been done a million times before (and probably a million times better), but this is my first attempt so we'll see what the voters think of it - especially due to the fact that it is straight out of the camera (so no cropping to make the droplet bigger than it was).

Lighting is a studio strobe aimed at the flower with a white diffuser placed between it and the branch (I wanted some light on the green leaf down below - I tried it as a silhouette and preferred the green veins of the leaf to be visible).

For maximum magnification, the shot was taken with the Canon 100mm 2.8 macro plus the Canon 12mm Extension Tube.

Ah....the ol' flower droplet macro. Looks good. I think a little more light on the branch and perhaps a slightly larger drop would make it even better.

This has been done many times, and i'm sorry to say better than this.
It's too dark and doesn't capture the subject in the droplet very well.
