 About four years ago, before I had a digital camera or even moved to Colorado, I had a scanner and a spotted orange tabby kitten named Scout. I used to come home to find blank scans waiting for me on my computer. After several days, I figured out that the scanner was placed under a window, and Scout liked to sit on it to see out the window when I wasn't home, and was inadvertantly hitting the scan button. So I started leaving the lid up...

Unfortunately, Scout was not a good fit for my household. Sorcha (who has her own folder in my portfolio) and Scout did not get along. Scout was a very needy, high energy creature who wanted to play. Sorcha is very mellow and hated his guts. I'm surprised the neighbors didn't call the cops a few times on account of all the torturous screeches that Sorcha made. In the end, Scout was given to a family who had a young kitten already who was missing her brother, and last I heard she and Scout were best friends. Yay for happy endings!

Great story. I love the stories behind photos!

This looks like fun. I just spent the past 6 months berricadeing the scanner so the cat can't get to it. Bad policy to go back now.

Too funny!! These are great - thanks for putting them up! And my wild Thomas irritates his "sister" Emma no end - only she mostly growls rather than screeches when he's picking on her.
