 The day was grey, with work all around.
A break was what I needed to make me sound.

Out in my garden, I did venture.
To ease my mind if only to ensure.

Upon resting myself down, I happened to look up
and in front of me was a fairy close up.

Her dress was of golden, her hair like silk.
Her wings were aglow, her skin like milk.

So frightened was she to have seen me there.
A stranger encroached upon her lair.

She spoke to me ever so softly.
Like small bells a'ringing, her voice in a plea.

"Don't sneeze on me now for if you do,
A fairy will die as if on cue".

"You must believe in fairies and folk.
For we weave the magic into a cloak".

"A cloak that will cover the world as you know.
To keep all evil safely at bay".

And with that she smiled and wafted away.
Into her fairyland to see another day.

Intense expression, but great photo. When I first looked at the wings, I thought they looked authentically insect-like - and reading your note on another photo, I see I was right.

I love this!!
I want to take pics like this, but I'm afarid I'm going to have to resort to making the wings rather than painting them in - I haven't the PS skills for that! :) I really really really like this, though. Added it to my faves as soon as I saw it!

Another breathtakimg image of this "fairy" series.....
I love it in the colortones that you have used, such an excellent choice.....
The lighting is just right, as she appears to have been found, or discovered.
Her world is a magical place, and it makes me feel like I want to go back to my childhood.
