 A found image as I walked along the waterfront in San Diego, CA. The irony just grabbed me.

Here in SoCal, the housing boom has made affordable housing non existant. The image for me was one of the effects of our progress.

The down side was that he had some strange whatever around his head that did detract from image. I also liked that he was sleeping next to the water where some very expensive boats were moored.

Okay, ironic juxtaposition of "Homes" vending box and homeless person. But not immediately clear how it represents progress. Lack of progress, perhaps. Try a tighter crop to eliminate some of the right side of the photo. Might make it easier to adjust brightness/contrast on blanket.

I don't think he really grasps the "TRY US!" slogan. Nice ironic image.

The elements of the picture with the "HOMES" and the boat in comparison is good and gets your point across. Can't quite tell what's going on with his head, though - maybe a magazine covering it?

I love the fact that this bloke is sleeping under a "homes" and housing advert dispenser. That adds some interest to this shot; a little lossy, blueish and overexposed otherwise.
