Just a shot of some barriers that had been thoughtlessly placed around the holese in the road. Tearing up the country lanes for the sake of progress.

The humorous aspect of the sign was the only reason I entered it really.

Straight from the camera, just resized and compressed to meet the specs.

I think this would've been more effective without the barrier in the background, for example if you would've stood a bit to the left (not always possible, I realize). I wonder how it would be without the pole also, such as right up close to the sign, with just a bit of dirt and pavement to make your point.

Yeah, cars belong on the road...people in the dirt!

Looks like they're trying to put in some sort of walkway? Meets challenge, but the composition isn't particularly interesting. The blue barricade things compete with the vertical sign and pole for attention, and the viewer isn't exactly sure what the subject is or should be.

I see what you were aiming for with the 'progress' theme, but i just don't think really shows it that well, by that imean it's not an interesting photo to me.

I would have preferred it framed without the power pole as that draws my eye away from the pedestrians sign and that is clearly the point of this shot
