Well, I have finally found another plant to photograph, that gives me as much joy as my "Agave" plant. I still don't know what the plant is called, but working on that.

It is actually in the park garden here where I live, at Little Mountain Home Park. It is growing so well, as it has little babies coming up everywhere, just like mushrooms.

It is quite a archectural plant, with magical lines, texture and color, all radiating from the centre. I just love it, but beware, as it bites, as it has nasty prickles or thorns, down both side of each leaf.

I shot this in the raw process with my Canon camera.
ISO; 200
Aperture; 10.0
TV Shutter Speed; 1/160

Processed in PS, with the following processing methods;

Shadow & Highlights
Sharpened
Hue & Saturation - not very much
Curves
Dust & Scratches
Noise removed
Brightness
Rotated, Cropped, and added Border.
Resized for web.

ps; WARNING THIS PLANT BITES.....re the prickles.....

I would like to see you get into this plant even closer, like the agave images...it would be interesting to see those sharp edges a little clearer and closer...don't get pricked! But try to get into it a little more and maybe a little backlighting would be cool, too.

I was just so very proud of myself, and this shot, so I am just so pleased I entered it into a challenge, and it did as well as this.
It may not look like perspective to many voters, but it definaltely is, when I studied "Perspective" at art colledge.
It is more the up-close and in your face type of "perspective".
Nearly all plants are formed with "perspective" lines, and shape.
Thank you everyone who added a comment, and also votes, as it is always very much appriciated.....

Nice shot, a little bit too busy for my taste as my eye wanders all over the frame and finds no place to stop, nothing that draws my eye in but definately above average in this challenge. Could work well in lines too if you want to reshoot this for that challenge, I wouldn´t hold that against you :) 6 from me.

Interesting way to use a closeup to show perspective!

Very nice image. There is nothing I could remotely suggest to improve this image. The composition is perfect, the ligthing is shows great depth, and the focus is sharp as a tack. Now that I've come back to comment I need to bump this to a 9.

I like it.
Everything in focus - nice colours and tones - and a great square crop.

VERY striking! ! ! I love the way the center of this plant seems to come off the page at you! Amazing contrast of those beautiful greens and whites. Great job.
