I really lovre this shot.The use of negitive space is excellent, and enhanses the composition.
The strong depth of color is also excellent.
The softness of the cherry is also good, against the bright sexy lips.....
In all, an excellent example here, and tops in my book.....

| This is a great shot Mackenzie :) The negative space works well IMHO. Like my strawberry image, getting a food item to look good is a bit tough. Have you tried using PAM or wipe the cherry with a bit of olive oil? This will give the cherry a bit of a sheen that would make it more scrumptious. How about your lips? They could also use a bit of shine in them so you can get some catch lights. The stem could be brightened up just a tad in PS. Overall, this is a great image and a fantastic expeirment. Thanks for the "tribute". This is definitely a great shot! |

Since the lips are in focus and the cherry is kind of "soft" in the middle, why not call it "cherry lips" and then your take will even be MORE different than theirs??
I like this. Great use of negative space and the red pops. |
