I spooned yogurt onto some coins and then used a toothpick to cover the surface. I shot the photo next to a window in the evening and got some interesting reflections.

Thanks to my friend for the loan of the macro lense.

I missed this one in the challenge, but the simplicity of this is what makes it so great. The contrast of colors also adds to the effect, and I like this so much, and think it should have scored much higher.

Thanks for sharing how you did this - very clever idea! Based on the originality, I gave you a 7!

---Greetings from the Critique Club!---

First impression - One of the few true abstracts in the challenge.

Congratulations on knowing what an abstract is. Few entries were IMO abstract, but the voters didn't seem to care.

The idea here is good. The left weighted composition and the solid negative space play well. The color contrast is stark and sets off the main elements well.

The elements themselves look over processed to me. The dark halo and artifacting look as it this had too much USM applied.

Good effort that might have scored higher if the yogurt dots were processed better.

I hope this was helpful. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I do see ghosts in the yogurt! and they're playing jazz music! I like the progressively smaller dots and the colors. 7

Reflection/highlites are hard to get people to concentrate on ... I know this from experience.

Nice choice of colour and rule of thirds. Very appealing although the title baffels me a bit.

this is quite weird. insofar as it is weird, it is interesting, but i'm not sure it's the kind of thing i'd want to look at for very long...
