Wow, what a beautiful and interesting little guy you've found here. I really like that deep purple red color you've captured, and think this has a nice composition to it. I do think that it is a bit oversharpened, but nonetheless a good photo.

| Great job! A nicely executed photo. Beautiful color on that bird. Excellent technical merit. However, I do not see how this meets the challenge, as there is no hint at beach in this photo, and it isn't fair to me as a voter to have to imagine that this was taken on a beach somewhere. Even so, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, so to be consistant, I am voting this lower than I want for the reasons stated above. |

| This may be taken on the beach but it may also be taken somewhere else, so it doesn't quite fit the challenge IMO. But despite that a very nice shot! |

| Fantastic capture but the technicals need work. It looks over sharpened or pixelated to me. Colours are great. Not sure this really fits the challenge, either. |
