 This is a shot of my wife that I took while we were out shoting for the beach challange. I know there is some sensor dust showing but since this is basic editing I guess they have to remain.

Doug, I love this photo!! I love the way you processed this, and silhouette photos have always been one of my favorite types of photos!

Great job! A pretty silhoutte shot, with absolutely STUNNING colors. The sky is serene, and the water has movement. However, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. Since this is in black, I will imagine that it's taken on a 'beach', and score giving you the benefit of the doubt. Raising original score from a 4 to an 8, mostly because the color is extraordinary.

I'll bet that this image presents itself 100% as you intended. This image deserves to place well and if it doesn̢۪t, it won̢۪t be from any technical shortcomings of the image, just personal preference of the voters.

Could be a little sharper around the photographer. Is the color natural or filtered? Just curious - it's a nice color.
