Thanks for your comments all. Its much appreciated. It was pretty much a last minute entry. I was not expecting it to do that well and I was not dissapointed! Had a hard job with the bright sunlight but thought it came out not too bad. thanks again

oh dear. it seems the graphical style you have displayed here has not gone over well with the voters. I have submitted entries myself that were more graphic than photographic and been frustrated by the dismal results.
good luck in the next challenge!

| great patterns, strong lighting. i have a bias against tightly-cropped pictures of books, but i think this one woorks. |
