This would have deserved to be way higher in the ranking, in my opinion (I gave it 9). The composition is really original and the DoF enhances this idea of a hiding monster. Makes your imagination run. One of my favs for this challenge. |

Okay, if this does not get a ribbon I will be surprised. It will be added to my favorites for sure. 10 |

Great idea, but was it an idea, or merely an accident? The depth of field is shallow and the image seems like it was not carefully composed. |

Too many things out of focus. They dont have much of a body, but I think it would help to see it. The out of focus foreground is drawing my eye much more than the legs are. sorry.3 |

This one has a great sense of forboding and anticipation. I like the contrast from green and black and the textures that can be seen in the leaf and and the legs. |

I don't care much for the blurring on the leaf, not sure if this was intentional, also I would rather see more of the spider. |

Great use of the leaf in this photo. I'm not sure what the red spot in the middle of the photo is, but I'm not going to take off for it. Very amusing. |

A dandy long-legs? Met the challenge I guess but I would like to see more than just the legs. Focus is ok, as is the color and the unobtrusive background. I wonder what that red spot is? |

A sense of menace, just what is about to appear. |

Fabulous, I must remember this technique in my photos to allow the viewer to use their own imagination by hinting at the subject. Dof is great here. Very humourous. 8 |

Daddy-long-legs are not insects, better luck next time. |

Interesting and different. Tantalising (because I want to see what it is) and frsutrating (because I can't) at the same time. I think the biggest problem is that the front edge of the leaf is blurred - the legs draw your eye to it and its fuzzines is jarring, but if you'd got this in focus, the legs may not have been. Original shot. |
