This is a artists colony just a bit outside San Remo Italy. Apparently the town was destroyed in the 1800\\\'s, and recently artists have moved in. Its absolutely silent.

I think you will find that there is too much in this photo for a "Zen" contest. A picture of just the two playground toys would have probably scored much higher. The pastel colors work well here. There also appears to be a small counter-clockwise tilt.

A very unique and creative take on a zen challenge. The emptyness and silence is surreal and slightly disturbing. I would hope this ribbons.

i love the building, and i love the overall feel of this image. my only wish is that the rocking horse wasn't in it as it's tips it into the category of being a tad too cluttered. I think the slightly discoloured aspect of the ground, the greenery and the pale slide works tremendously well. only other slight thing is that the horizon looks a bit wonky. other than that, very nice. 8.

This does not have the overall feeling of peace and serenity that I look for in zen photography.

Although this atmosphere appears to be quiet at the moment, the photo overall has too much going on, so that my eye is drawn into all the minute details, rather than allowing me to feel a sense of peace and serenity when I look at it.

I would never get Zen from this if I didn't know it was in a Zen challenge. I think it is a nice photo, but I think it speaks to other emotions then the ones typically interpreted by the term Zen.

This photo stopped me in my voting tracks and made me look. It certainly is still; arid and siesta come to mind. My eye explores the scene. NIce effect overall in its ordinary-ness. 8.
