greetings from the critique club:

for a portrait shot, this is very well done. the model has a good pose and a good environment surrounds her.

i'm not sure how well it fits the zen challenge. although it does seem peaceful, it also seems posed and rigid. using a person in the challenge might need to be done less formally.

the color is good, if a bit oversaturated. the face in particular looks unnatural in its tone. if i had to guess, i would say the soft focus is probably what really killed your score here. it's difficult to pull off well, and at DPC a lot of people just consider it "out of focus" instead and score accordingly.

This is a really nice portrait, but I think you used too much soft light on her.

A nice soft portrait, with perfect calmness...

Wah? No way! What have you done with Kristi White!

I didn't know you had a DPC account, Chris ;-)

I like the soft light in this (gassian blur?) But you model looks like she just walked out of a health food store and her makeup needs work

Post processing overdone on this one, it looks too unnatural, but you can improve it IMO

This does not have the overall feeling of peace and serenity that I look for in zen photography.

The lush green foliage is a nice setting. But the model looks a little plastic in texture. I think for a Zen subject, holding a single leaf and looking with a single eye might have been better. Something which removes the majority of the background but ends up giving a richer viewing experience.

really? Not sure abouut the title...I like the shot, but I am not crazy about the soft focus...the composition is good...the title is really puzzling me...am I missing something here?

Good composition, her face looks a little too soft to me but I like the colours of the leaves and stone :o)
