Should have been on the front page in my opinion. The streak of focus is very Zen, and the colors are muted and silent. Keep up the great work.

I'm gonna guess RKT. If I'm wrong, take that as a compliment.

I find the dark pixelated area below the leaf? very off putting and there isn't enough in focus for me to get a real 'feel' for the image (MHO)

Visually confused - due to DOF, perhaps?

Very nicely taken, and it works for me...

Ah! What a beauty this is! I love this extremely shallow focus, just a hint of what's there, just enough to be intriguing...and the color...simply exquisite...gorgeous work.

I think you'll get slammed for the narrow focus, but I love it :)

Interesting colors and subject. DOF wrecks this photo though. 3.

too much out of focus, distracts from the entire pic, IMO

Great image. I like the shapes of this and the lighting looks great. I very much think thhis is zennish, a zennish abstract. I think the contrast between the rounded edges and the rigid straightness of the stems is wonderful. I don't normally say this but I do find the strip of focused leaf to be distracting. I think a meld of softness that we'd see without it would look wonderful and very zen. I'm not sure if others would agree of course, but that's my vote! I gave a 6

Although the minimal tonal qualities of this is an excellant attempt at meeting the challenge, I found the business of the leaf to disturb it's calmness. Just a bit, but enough that I didn't vote this as high as I'd like.
