Okay, some will say its a stretch. But its all I got and I'm too tired to try anything else. Well, all others failed. Just wasn't in a zen mood.
You know, if you stare at these too long, you'll go blind. Or it feels like it.
Taken with Hoya r72 and converted. this is about 1/4 of the total image but I thought the rest of the image REALLY wasn't zen like. Hate using a gimmic but I spent all weekend playing and learning...
No spot editing, no bizzare filters except the one on my camera. Since I haven't seen any other NIR images DQed I'm going to assume this one won't be either...

Yes, I used a tripod, yes, its supposed to be soft.
Ying and yang, rock and water, dark and light.
I was more concerned about the balance of the image (including just enough white, just enough rock) than I was about the composition. |

I somehow find this shot intimidating...as though something bad is about to happen...
and I can't explain why...
but I do know tha tthis is a beautiful shot, and wonderfully processed... |

Beatiful. It meets the challenge, in my opinion. Composition and focus in a perfect way. Nice job with the colours and the light. Congratulations |

I like the composition but the image seems over all a little soft to me |

The blue mercury effect of quietnes is appealing with the splash of light in the foreground and back....7 |

This is a very pretty shot, nice use of tone and minimal color. It emits a great sense of solitude and stillness. |

I wish I could like this and I do for some reason, however it looks like an oil slick as well. |

Like the colors and the placement of the rocks make for an interesting composition, if a little centered. Seems to suffer from some focus issues as nothing appears sharp. Perhaps this was your intent. It does meet the challenge scope well as it is is very serne and gives a good sense of harmony within nature. Shifting everything to the left would benefit the way the eye is drawn through the shot and, in my opinion, getting at least one thing in sharp focus would actually add to the sense of dreaminess as everything else would seem to fade away. Nice work. 5. |
