I'm sure I'll take a lot of hits on this from a whole bunch of constituencies - anti-corporate, anti-capitalist, anti-meat, anti-American. And, I may take hits from people thinking I'm mocking the flag, America, or who knows, even McDonalds. But the idea is that it's the economic freedoms available in America and other capitalist societies that allows people to choose their own destinies and fuels the expansion of freedom beyond our borders. Of course there are faults and problems. But a system that allows a guy who runs a hamburger stand here in San Diego to build one of the most recognized brand names in the world has to be honored in a celebration of freedom.
(This may not be the best depiction of freedom, but hey, we only had a day!)
Technical - Not too much to tell: shot at full zoom with a 2.4x teleconverter, I think with a circular polarizer and UV filter (I took them on and off, but I think this one they were on). Ran through NeatImage to remove noise from the sky, then cropped, adjusted levels, tweeked the colors a little, resized and sharpened. |

This represents anything but freedom for cows and chickens though. Just depends how you look at things! I'm not sure why you didn't straighten the shot to the line of the flagpole? Good colour. |

Did you go back inside afterwards to let them know the US flag is ripped? Good concept. |

Nice photo. The colors are crisp, maybe just a little too sharp though. These probably are the 2 most prominant signs of America. :-) |

The colors on both flags really pop out of the picture thanks to the bright blue color of the sky. The flags color are very vivid and make them stand out. |

This photo has a good statement to it. The slight ghost images along the bottom edges of the flags, probably due to sharpening, are a little distracting. |

They shouldn't even allow McDonalds flags on the same pole. :) Well done, this shot REALLY conveys your message perfectly!! The colors are great. The pic is a little tilted to the left. 8. |

heh this one made me laugh out loud. Must have had a nice wind. The pole seems a little out of focus to me and that is distracting. |
