Generally, I'm not fond of kid shots but this one's great! It tells a story perfectly, and this child will love the photo when he/she is older. Nice exposure, good use of desat. |

I sure wish I'd had that tub when my kids were that age. I relate to this picture on all levels. It's perfect. |

Looks scared :-(
Nice focus, looks like the desat is off in the hair. |

I like it, but I think it would look better in full B&W |

Oh, that's so sad! Here the kid is crying and obviously distressed, yet you've found time to set up and take a photo?! I'd comment on the quality of the image, lighting, exposure, etc...but can't speak objectively as I find the image too unsettling. I guess if you're looking for an emotive response from viewers, you've garnered one here. :( |

Great expression and capture of the elements in this photo. It challenges the stereotypical thoughts that we picture of a child happily splashing in the bath. This child is absolutey NOT HAPPY! It is that atypical reaction that catches and holds our attention. For most, this capture would make us uncomfortable for no one likes to see an unhappy child - and that is the hook that you caught us by. The hook that makes us stop to look. Lighting and skin tone colors are spot on perfect. The only critique I have on this photograph is that you could eliminate the bottom portion of the image right where the pipe meets the tub and crop it to a square crop. That would strengthen the composition by keeping the attention firmly focused on your main subject - the child in the tub. |

I just love this shot...and kids recover quickly with a little tenderness... |

Aawww, poor baby! I'd cry too if I had to get a bath outside in a sink! Great capture of that precious expression. |

Moments in life such as this are so important to capture.
This is an exceptional image in my opinion, partly due to the human element, but also greatly in part because of the textures and details in the stone and fixtures. I really hope the selective destauration here isn't getting this image voted down, as it is very well done, and has been added to my favorites. |

all the way to B&W on the selective desat makes this feel very unnatural - you could still draw attention to the kid and keep it looking more natural if you just desat a little.
Doesn't work for me - great photo - would LOVE to see it in color with that electric socket removed. good luck in the challenge. |
