I didn't see the connection with life at first, but then I don't have a bike!
I can image that once you're bitten by that bug, that your bike not only becomes 'life', but is also a great analogy for it as well. This portrait is great, at first I thought it was a little blurry, but then if he prizes the bike more than himself, I can see why the focus is there. Great atmosphere evoked in the shot, very moody. Great use of b&w. The hands are what makes this shot particularly effective. Nice use of light and shadow. 8 (I'd have given a 10 if I didn't have to be so creative matching the shot to the challenge!). |

| Beauitful silver on whatever that machine is. However, there's a faint haze/mist that takes away from the composition. Maybe adjusting the levels will correct this? |
