The lines coming down the image are cool and made me want to look at this picture more. I like it |

I like the color of the water, this color is by far my favorite blue in the spectrum to see for water. I also like how the sun glare highlights the duck in the upper right. I also have to agree with the others the ripples really go far to accent this photo.

The reflections are really cool - they make the shot IMHO. I'm not personally crazy about the hue of blue, but like pidge I think this is a very good shot. Well seen and captured. |

For me (personally) this is a picture I appreciate because it's well done, but it's not one that appeals to me on a personal level. I like the composition with the lone duck in the upper right and the light squiggles and water ripples |

I just LOVE the squiggley highlights. They lend the picture an abstract quality but it's definitely not abstract, and I love that type of blending. I think it is amazing how the duck in the top right is so close to the white highlight, and yet so much detail still is present in the shadows of the duck. The color of the water is amazing - such a calming shade of blue, which is fitting to the overall image. I also love the detail in the ripples of the water.
If I had to change something, I would change the middle highlight to be white instead of yellow. But actually, I don't know if that would help the image any. I think if you'd submitted this to the recent Zen challenge, it might have, but otherwise the yellow is definitely not a flaw.
(Since the squiggley highlights remind me of one of my images, could you return the comment for that one? The only editing was levels and desat. here :-) ) |
