Two Toed Sloth doing it's thing, in other words hanging upside down.

Levels, sharpened, resized, USM.

Post challenge - Yes, it is real. No, it's not a baby. It really was up, and they really hang this way most of the time. Also, this was shot in VERY low light, flash is prohibited.

Good color and clear for an shot in such light without a flash. I think this was good enough to score even higher if you could have emphasized the "ground up" portion of the challenge, maybe from a more severe angle. Of course, zoo personnel probably would have a problem with my suggestion. ;-)

What an odd looking little critter! I like the way you chose to shoot this to sort of frame him with the branches and leaves. Good color throughout. As for the challenge, it may have done better had you shot from a lower angle - doesn't look as much "up" as some might have been expecting, I'm guessing. And VERY good work without a flash in low light! He does look like he could use a good shampoo, though... :-)

I scored this a 5. I could have sworn you used a flash and did it well, but I now see otherwise. You have good color and detail on the critter. Did you have a tripod or just handheld? At that speed you did real well with keeping him in focus if handheld. Him being just so slightly off center is a bit off - not sure how to crop it other than dead center. I think you may have gotten lower votes because of the angle you took the pic. Seems more strraight on rather than from ground up.
