Well this is my first attempt at a challenge since my return from Alaska. I visted Mt. Baker during a family vacation and was lucky to get a shot that met a challenge, hurrah.

Like the composition with the pink flower against the dark mountains. Be careful of the blown highlights in the clouds.

From here to there, from small to large. And the ground grew higher with tectonic forces at work. Not quite from the ground up - but I get your meaning and I appreciate your looking for something other than the usual "looking up a building or a tree" view.

Nicely composed. The whole vignette is pleasing and something we can relate too. I like the backlit effect on the pink flower. The sky is a touch overexposed, probably due to the time of day.
