Simple and tastful capture...though I would prefer bit wider focus and more on skateboard then shoe.

Very nice and simple image. Tells a story in the rough condition of both the shoes and the skateboard. I like how the skateboard looks older instead of one of those fancypants things (could just be my perception of course) so that helps futher the idea of it being in use for a long time. There's some great lines and shapes here as well. I've just a couple nitpicks, I wish there was more contrast to the image and that the DOF was just a bit deeper. Other than that, nicely done. I gave a 7

This image epitomizes childhood transportation and the B&W conversion makes it timeless. Bumping to a 9.
