Occasionally, I'll run a little personal mini-series of photos through several challenges. My most recent challenge photo-series was May 2005, with three photos of Calla Lilies (all turned different colors) in the same week, with the third entry placing 5th in the Dreams Challenge.

This week seemed another good opportunity for a "series" of similar photos, a "study in blue". The first "study in blue" is "Blue Fire" for the Fire II Challenge; the second, "Blue Peas" for the PEAS challenge, and finally this entry, "Blue, Stupid!", a fitting way to "artfully capture" stupidity, which hopefully will cause some to actually say, "How stupid can you get?"

Surely this is not the last in the series? - Where is your artistic merit? The series, in my opinion, does not feel artistically complete yet.

Parts i, ii and iii connected with me on a spiritual level. I am waiting for part iv to transcend these which have come before it and raise me to a level of photographic enlightenment.

people have a tragic lack of a sense of humour. i almost weeed myself when i saw this. last? that's insane; you've captured the nature of the challenge perfectly; and the sacrifices made on the other challenges (missed the pea one) just to set this stonker of a conceptual piece should not have gone unnoticed.

And "Monochromatic abstract study in blue, part III" would have made a glorious title.

What I like: Blue is nice...

What I don't like: I'm not entirely sure I understand what you were going for here. I don't see alot of technical merit in the image itself. I'll think about it and look at it again...

Ok, I've seen very similar shots in this challenge, the fire challenge and the peas challenge. I am guessing it's the same person entering all three. Why? I don't know. It barely met the fire challenge (I gave it the benefit of the doubt). It certainly doesn't fit this or the peas challenge. If you are not the person entering all three there's a pretty big coincidence going on. It still doesn't meet this challenge.

Is this some kind of test? 'Blue Peas', then 'Blue Stupid'? I gave 'Blue Peas' a 2, guess this deserves a 1? Good luck in the Brown Ribbon chase.

You are going to get the most even bar-graph on any photo ever. Half the people will go "this crap sucks donkey wank!" and the other half will go "*giggle!*". Count me towards the *giggle!* crowd.
