| Greetings from the critique club. Studying your photo for a bit I'd like to offer some suggestions. This is certainly a unique and dramatic take on the challenge. However since its hard for the viewer during voting to know what exactly it is, besides the fire part that is, I dont think the voter can understand what they are seeing. It also appears as though the focus isnt spot on which is required by DPC voters to score well. The last suggestion I can offer is that if you dont think the crop, effect you are trying to convey to your viewer isnt there, dont put it in the title, try to retake it so that it might be. Overall good effort and good luck in future challenges. |

| The "don't try" part is cool but I'd rather have the title say "this is a" instead of the cropping intention. I think I'd appreciate this image more if I knew what I was seeing. All the sparks or flying debris add an element that a lot of other entries don't have. |

| Although the title says you cut it off intentionally that doesn't change the fact that the image would be better if you hadn't. |

The title makes me very, very curious. Maybe it is better if I don't know! ;-)
As for the shot, I think it would have been better in sharper focus. I do like the bits of flame "raining" downward. |

OOF explosion cut off. Well it meets the challenge. As far as having the WOW factor? I doesnt. It is just to hard to tell what it is I am seeing. 4

| Someone once suggested to me I should have more confidence in my shot and voters' ability to get it without an explanatory title. I would offer you the same advice. |
