I like the isolated flame in the top left but the rest of the fire makes it feel out of place

Oooh, a very interesting shot. I feel that something's a bit off on the composition - maybe too much negative space? But it's not enough to be a big concern. Definitely love the "figure" on the top left.

This is too out of focus for me and although I know its flames I am not really sure what the flames are on and this puts me off (MHO)
