I'll be probably the 20th person to say 'lose' not 'loose'. Regardless, I like the idea. Nice focus and lighting, although I wish the background was solid and not wrinkled. Also I might have removed the pawn since it stands out from the rest and is not meant to.

Very good table-top image - not really belonging to the theme of Life, but I guess a dead bishop does sort of fit the bill.

nice photo
i have a hard time relating chess to life
there is much about life higher up on the ladder than chess, in my opinion

At least it isn't the king that is down; life can go on! Well, it's obvious this isn't a real game since the pieces aren't on the squares, but it is a nice still life. The way the pieces refract the light and the board reflects it makes this image very attractive.

Good representation of this aspect of the life. The chess pieces are beautiful and the picture is great. Congrats.

I love looking at this shot; there is something very appealing about it. My eye is drawn directly to the pawn who "lost" and the detail, lighting and focus are right on.

does a chess game represent life? maybe, a 6 to me.

Nice composition. I do think the bouncing light is a bit of a distraction.

Beautiful colors and textures. Two things bother me - the backdrop is a bit messy (but a nice color), and the horizon is just off enough for me to notice. Other than that, a very nice effort.

A solid black back-drop may have worked better for this. I love the composition though.

The chess piece nearest to the front is to distracting, also I believe you have the queen laying on its side, to show defeat it should be the king, nice idea.
