Wow this was quit a challenge for me.
Because I discovered with the self-portait challenge (30 days, 30 self-portraits) I don't like self-portraits. And I had a black eye (thought that would be verry nice to stress the title naked. and no my husband is not violent, I knocked a hammer on my eye, while working in "De Deel" yes I'm a MUTS)

And I had to do everything in levels, curves and color saturation. It was an effect I love from the NIK filters, but I couldn't use them because they are effect filters.
I personaly love the result, and I'm quit proud of it!

The whole idea of the picture is me holding my camera, very tender. He's the one who helps me to be creative. And me staring away. (thinking of new pictures to make?)
Usually the camera and I are no subjects, but the artists. So we're both naked and vulnerable. Me showing my most valueable piece of equipment.
I tried to make that feeling even stronger by being naked and the blackeye.

Okay, what did I do?

Made a picture with a mirror.
Cropped, flipped it horizontally, changed colors in hue/saturation, curves, levels. added some noise.
Rezise and added a white border with canvas size.

this is an amazing shot; you really should have ranked a lot higher. there is a lot of meaning behind it, and it seems like just a very soft and vulnerable moment for both you and your camera. this photograph was completely and perfectly in the spirit of the challenge, i think, as it captures something that is not normally captured by a camera and its photographer.

23rd place? I expected this to be among the top ten. Your facial expression is great. This photo has such a strong atmosphere! The black eye adds even more drama. You hit your eye with a hammer? Ouch, that has to hurt. Though I don't know how this could happen, it's a real feat ;)

This was a very moving image for me, and it stayed in my mind for such a long time. I often came back to look at it again, and pleased you gave us the story behind the shot. I really loved this one, and also wish it had been placed higher, but again, we had some 'excellent' images in this challenge.

I like the lighting and the extra time you took to come up with a creative photo. It is a very stark, if I were to nit pick with the minimalistic feel, you could have taken off the rings, I like it. My only 10 in this challenge.

This was my favorite of the challenge. It tells a story more than just a shot of a camera. I particularly like the way you used two subjects to balance the emotional rawness without distracting from the focal point of the challenge. Great job.

I would read this picture more like a self portrait of yourself and not of the camera. However, it's a cool shot and I like it .

I have given you the following ratings

Meeting the Challenge 0-1-2 = 1
Overall look, feel and composition 0-1-2 = 2
Creativity 0-1-2 = 1
Quality and execution 0-1-2 = 1
WOW effect and first impression 0-1-2 = 1
